Lake Tahoe

Incline Village / Glenbrook / Zephyr Cove / Stateline

Straddling the California and Nevada border, and at an elevation 6,225 feet, Lake Tahoe is world renowned for its exceptional beauty.  Located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Tahoe Basin is known for its ski resorts, casino gaming, beaches, hiking and golf.  It is an exceptionally unique resort community, possessing a diversity of towns and cities, each of which is situated alongside the lake’s seventy-two-miles of shoreline.

Reno/Sparks

Known as the “Biggest Little City in the World,” Reno resides in the Sierra foothills, in the Truckee River Valley on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.  Reno along with the neighboring city of Sparks to the east, occupy an area which is collectively recognized as the Truckee Meadows.  Together, the Reno-Sparks metropolitan area, is the second most populous area in Nevada after the Las Vegas Valley, in Southern Nevada.  The area affords a diversity of recreation, culture, events, gaming, restaurants, shopping, and industry.  Reno is home to the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR).

Carson City

At the eastern edge of the Sierras, Carson City is located to the east of Lake Tahoe, and to the south of Reno.  Rich in history and gaining prominence during the Comstock Lode, the city was named for explorer Kit Carson.  A diversity of historical buildings, sites, and museums are present throughout, providing a glimpse into the city’s storied past.  Carson City has served as Nevada’s capital since the state was founded in 1864.
